#1 STEELPAN APP App Reviews

Ive been trying to raise someone to find out why theres no sound, but so far without luck. Sound is OK with all other apps that need sound and all radio stations are fine. This one app just cannot produce any sounds. I guess its unfair to rate it until I have a chance to try it and Ill re-rate it after someone has responded to me with possible solutions. Its the lack of response thats being rated at this point. Follow-up. -- embarrassing, but the problem was my inability to recognize that the mute switch was at "mute"! Anyhow, everything works fine now, sound is great and very realistic. Enjoying the pans. Just wish I knew how to play them properly, but Ill keep practicing! Highly recommended app!

A great app for pan on the road! For v1.0 it is a great start. Cant wait to see what can be added (export ringtone, tones, etc.).

This app is BOSS thanks MR. CUPID I play pan all my life ant this help me all the time I practice in my car on the train and on the air plane and the best thing is that it works not like the other apps I tried.i now play piano,trumpet

I love this app so much. It helps me practice for my steel pan at school and outside of school. This app is better then all the other steel pan apps.

Very disappointing, i play the steel pan and i thought there would be some features at least. Nothing! It also freezes all the time and the pan hot spot do not activate properly. I can get the same or better with ordering a free steel drums app. Not worth 2.99 at all. Wast of my money. I want a refund!

I have solved the muting issue. Double-tapped the ipad home button, swiped right, located the hidden "soft-mute" button that mysteriously mutes some apps and functions (keyboard sounds for example) and not others, and unmuted it. App still crashes with some regularity and has no record feature that I can find (!) but certainly more fun than when it was silent.

The tones are good, and the range is fantastic, but the playablitity is glitchy. Sometimes the roll feature works, usually not. The notes dont consistently sound when tapped. The "play" area is too small to be functional on iPhone/iPod Touch. This is like a tiny little Roland Handsonic with shorts in the wiring. A good start that I hope to see get some major improvments in the near future. ~D!

It took me a few downloads and trials to finally figure out that the Ringer and Volume had to be turned on/up independent of the external volume...but after that I was very impressed with the quality of the steelpan sounds/samples...especially in the lower tones (bass pans). The drum roll button is not consistant as others stated. Overall, I think its the best steelpan/steeldrum App out there. Its #1 especially beacause of the access to different pans and excellent tones.

My number one steel drum app and I love it thanks! But I would love to have access to move my bass drums around...that would be very helpful because I played all mine is class differently so its extremely difficult to play the songs I learned on a app that has like all the bass turned around...thanks anyways I love the app!

Could be a bit more responsive, flicks usually come out awkward or not at all if done too fast. It cant differentiate between soft playing and loud and the bass & double 2nd layout is one Ive never seen before. No recording functionality either but it does its job fairly well. If you like pan youll probably like this app.

My sound doesnt play... No bueno!

THe application does not have any sound, help me!!!

I was anxious to play "Jumbie" by Machel...but not for hell this app giving off any SOUND! A complete waste of my money!

Please fix this app and add sound

The thing I love most is the response to touch and the tone of the notes. What it needs to be great is a better way to roll the notes. Holding down the roll icon to roll makes it cumbersome. Try multi touch gestures for the roll. So if I use two fingers the note will roll. Maybe even make the upper corner of the notes the part that triggers a roll. For now it is only worth playing around at home. With a proper roll feature maybe I can try this at an event. PS. Why include controls on the image of the pan that do not work? That could have been left out.

This app is the most responsive steel pan app on the apple app store and it is also the BEST sounding app on the apple app store.YOu all should also give us the option for if the notes should appear on the pan or not.We should also be able to record our playing on the steel pan app.BUT I MUST FINALLY SAY,this steel pan app is the best on the app store.I hope you all keep updating it so it will stay the best!
